Alberts Dairy Cottage

A beautiful property, clean, well furnished and every thing you need for a holiday stay is included.

The cottage is adorable and much roomier than the photos indicate. It's perfect for 1 or 2 guests. I appreciated having hosts Rachael and Andy next door. A very generous welcome tray with goodies in the fridge was just the sweetest thing to see when I arrived. Scones, clotted cream, jam, eggs, butter, tea, cookies and prosecco! If you are without a car, the Southern Vectis bus service serves the whole island, with hubs at Newport and Ryde. The bus stop is not far from the cottage - just be aware that you will walk on a grassy shoulder by the busy road. It's very manageable, but wear waterproof footwear to keep you dry depending on the weather and morning dew. I spent as much time at the cottage as out around the island. It's so cozy and welcoming, with a TV in the lounge and one in the bedroom. I really didn't need anything except rain boots 😄 which were easily purchased in Newport. If the weather was better (two months of rain fell in a week), the patio would have been in constant use. The cottage is tucked away from the road with 3 other residences that all were former working farm buildings. The adjacent fields are not accessible so my only downside comment is that if I could start a walk right from the house, that would be perfect. I stayed at the end of October but I am sure that in the months with more daylight hours, sitting out on the patio in the evening watching the sun set would be absolutely idyllic.

Everything about this property is wonderful. We had everything that we needed and we had a very comfortable stay. The hosts are very helpful and attentive.

My mum and I travelled by public transport to the Isle of Wight and to the property. The location is great and we managed our way around however we think if we had a car the location would be much easier. We knew this before, but just a helpful note for future travellers.

Beautiful property. Stunning place to stay. Spotlessly clean. Hosts left us a welcome pack. Will definitely return!

Clean, modern and well appointed.

Nothing about the cottage. It's is located away from shops, and the nearest pub is a little way along a busy road.

The cosy feel it gave, felt like home away from home.
