Einziger Minuspunkt. Die Esel vor dem Haus die auch zur Unterkunft gehören benötigen dringend (!) eine Hufpflege.

Nice peaceful property with easy drive to Killarney. Property has great mountain views.

le lieu! la vue! l'appartement est grand, confortable, il y a de place dedans, (canapé, écran plat, fauteuils dans une véranda...) . dehors il y a des chaises longues, une grande prairie avec deux ânes et une vue magnifique! pour nous (Belges) qui venons d'un plat pays, cette vue nous réjouit. Par rapport à d'autres locations, c'est vraiment le top et tout près de la ville.. (où les pubs sont aussi extraordinaires) Bref, que du bonheur! les lits sont très bons...

The location of this cottage was perfect. It was quiet and felt rural, but it was within a 5 minute drive to a grocery store to pick up the essentials. The shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water. The owner was very responsive and helpful. He addressed the issue we had with sour smelling bath towels promptly. The table in the sun room was perfect for enjoying breakfast with a gorgeous view of the flowers, donkeys in the pasture and mountains in the background. The portable radiators kept the two rooms plenty warm at night as well. I appreciated that a hair dryer was provided.

There are a couple of things to take note of. The mattresses on the beds are old and not very comfortable. We were traveling with our adult children and they both felt their mattresses in the second bedroom were uncomfortable. Our daughter did not use the comforter on her bed as it smelled sour. There were other blankets provided and she was able to find one that smelled fresher. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with supplies to cook, but there were no paper towels or napkins provided. We made a quick run back to the store to buy some as we definitely needed some when eating and packing our lunches. The kitchen towels all had a sour smell that was not pleasant.

Property is set in a beautiful natural environment, nice living room and glass conservatory. Good value if shared among 3+ guests. Nice and warm, good oil central heating. Loved the donkeys and mountain views!

There was considerable mold and a damp smell in the property. This is not unusual in Ireland but the smell needs to be addressed to make the stay comfortable. Bathroom very small but functional. Second bedroom almost no natural light. Kitchen with very basic supplies, i.e. 3 side plates only. No extractor fan, so cooking not really feasible. We had a minibus with us, the road to the property is small and locals drive extremely fast - not the owners fault but might be a consideration if you are a bit nervous about driving on small Irish roads.
