Colle al Matrichese - Historic Winery

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Costanti winery for two nights and it was a wonderful experience! Our host, Emilio was very proactive in reaching out to us and ensuring that we would have a smooth arrival. He was very kind and made us feel so welcomed! He was very flexible even though we arrived later than anticipated. He arranged a delicious wine tasting upon our arrival and we even had a tour of the wine cellar! The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. It had all the amenities we needed; including a washing machine. The lofted bedroom was really nice and gave the room a sense of spaciousness. The location was amazing -- waking up to priceless views of the vineyard. And it is only a 5-minute drive to the center of Montalcino. We would absolutely stay again!

No fault of the property, but bookers should remember that this is a working farm and as such there may be tractors and other noises early in the morning. Not too loud... just an FYI for light sleepers. :)

Stunning apartment with lovely view on an historic wine farm. Our host met us in person and we were treated to a wonderful wine tasting and tour of the facilities by Emanuela.

The place was clean, spacious and so cute. It was breathtaking its history. Location was also very convenient. Close to the city and still very private. We really enjoyed the wine tasting. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is a stunning estate with its own vineyards and a long history. The spacious one-bedroom house had a view of the hills and the garden we could enjoy from the terrace, a living room and a bedroom upstairs (beware those with mobility issues it has a steep staircase). The hosts were amazing: very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed every bit, and the wine tasting offered for free was excellent. Location is just minutes away from Montalcino. Highly recommend!

Just a suggestion to leave some salt and coffee for the guests. We appreciate this is a self catering property but usually we’d find the basics left by hosts when we travel. The lad on site brought us salt right away when we asked, but we were too shy to ask for some coffee in the morning.
