Colle al Matrichese - Historic Winery

Our three-night stay at the vineyard was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the warm hospitality of Emilio. The accommodations were charming and comfortable, providing the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. The highlight of the stay was the wine tasting experience. Each wine was thoughtfully selected, and the sommelier’s deep knowledge enhanced the experience, offering insights into the unique characteristics of each vintage. The setting, amidst rolling vineyards, created a truly unforgettable atmosphere. We left feeling relaxed, enriched, and eager to return.

Lovely quiet location with great views and a short drive to Montalcino. The accommodation was large, well appointed and incredibly comfortable, even for 2 couples or a family..

Perhaps a microwave in the kitchen would be good but not essential

The accommodation was wonderful, very spacious and quiet, situated amidst vineyards. They also offered a free tour of their winery and free tasting. Emilio and the other staff are also extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location and setting with views of the vineyards. We had a private apartment with a loft and kitchen . Great location for wine tours or just relaxing in the gardens and vineyards. Staff was very nice and provided a complimentary wine tour/tasting and a bottle of wine

The bed was slightly firm and loft was somewhat difficult to cool with the air conditioning in hot weather (we stayed during extremely hot weather with highs over 90 degrees, so most of the year would be comfortable). It would have been nice to have coffee provided since there was a mocha stovetop coffee maker. We were able to find coffee for sale in town which worked out

Excellent 2b2b apartment. Clean and well decorated. Comfortable bedding. Beautiful surroundings.

The information on the accommodation was misleading/incorrect. The property was not detached, the apartment was up two sets of stairs from where we were allowed to park. No terrace, no outdoor dining table, no toaster, no cleaning products, no drying rack for clothes. no cold water at kitchen sink, Main bedroom had no natural light apart from small window was kept curtained as looked into adjacent apartment. The kitchen was extremely basic, and steps between each room. Overall very poor

Our stay here was amazing! The grounds were impeccable. We ended each day's adventures prematurely just so we could return to the apartment and watch the sun go down from the balcony with a glass of wine in hand. We highly recommend this location!
