Beck House Cottages

The location was amazing, a beautiful farm in the middle of nowhere, the perfect retreat. Our teenage children loved the animals - peacocks, chickens, ducks and horses, cats and Meg the farm spaniel. We did not want to leave. Thankyou for a lovely break, we will be back.

Quiet surrounding, easy parking, hot water, country cottage feel

The place was VERY dirty - EXCESSIVE amount of cobwebs around the beds, over the top of the headboard, bedside tables, outside of the wardrobe (not just the ‘normal’ acceptable cobwebs we all have at the back of cupboards), human and dog hair on the bedsheets, gritty dirty dining table, coffee table & work surface in the kitchen, some kitchen utensils with dried food and crumbs in them, large patches of what appeared to be blood on one of the bath towels (which the host did apologise for and replace). We did not like cleaning these areas at the beginning of our stay and the dust did trigger my wife’s asthma.

It was clean warm and a fabulous location.

A little more attention to detail needed with regard to cooking facilities,the cooker hob lights did not work very dark in the kitchen area,a better set of knives and forks pans not enough frying pan past its sell by date.

Great cottage in farm setting with easy open access to farm and meadow with pretty walking and stream. Geese, peacocks and friendly dog provided lots of interest for our children.
