Arctic Circle Tranquillity

The location was excellent as it was 5 minutes by car from Santa Clause village and 10 minutes from the city center.The host David was very helpful, willing and nice! The food he offers at home on payment had excellent quality and in big portions. I can confidently say that it is superior and lighter on the stomach than famous restaurants we tried.The traditional Finnish sauna in the house was an integral part of our daily life! The house was comfortable for a family of 4 and very quiet! I highly recommend it to families as well as couples as it is a romantic farmhouse in the snow with fireplace and sauna!

Everything was fantastic, David is a fantastic host, very helpful and kind! The location is amazing, not far from Rovaniemi and only 30mins walking from the Santa's Village. The cottage is cozy and clean. The fireplace and the sauna are the cherry on top of everything

Thank you David for making our stay so comfortable and hassle free. The accommodation was fantastic, always warm and had everything we needed. It was so great arriving to a stocked fridge and all the towels and toiletries provided and the sauna was such a nice treat. Having the option of your taxi service was so handy and saved us using expensive taxis. You really go above and beyond as a host making sure your guests are so well looked after. I hope we get the change to return again for longer

The location was perfect, David and his son were so nice to us always available to take us to the places we wanted to go and at affordable price !! The place was also very very nice and we enjoyed having the sauna

This property was idyllic, it was in the perfect location, quiet with stunning views! The house itself was lovely a clean and the perfect size for our short stay! There was everything you needed on site alongside extras which the host David was more than happy to be of help, with food, transfers and generally welcoming. It was like it had been cut straight from a movie. Its a walkable distance (20 mins) from Santas village which was a great walk with some of the views and perfect hills for sledging! The sauna after a day out was a real treat and David enlightened us on the Finnish traditions which made the trip all the more special! Couldn’t recommend staying here enough. We can’t wait to visit again!!

Everything, the Host he is really amazing

The cottage was absolutely charming, with lots of lovely details, and super clean. Everything was brilliant from the comfy beds to the cosy lounge area and the amenities. Having an open fire and sauna was wonderful and both were set ready to use by the host David. The location was peaceful in beautiful surroundings, away from the busy centre. You can book a lift with David or catch a bus, and we were picked up from the front door by both of our excursion providers, so moving around is easy. The host David is very friendly, helpful and easy to contact, like a great neighbour. If you’d like a little piece of authentic Finland then this is the place to stay!

Happy with everything.

David was waiting for us to hand over the key. We told him, that our daughter have pains in the ear from flying....he help us immediately and call him daughter a doctor. She come after 30 minutes and take a look on the ear of our daufghter and recommend some medicine..... We say agin thanks a lot to David and him daughter. The sauna and the tiled stove was ready prepared for fire. We agreed David should knock on the door if he see a nothern light and real David knock an we see could the nothern light in nature. Also we could recommend to aks him for the dinner with himemade salomon soup and rendeer meet. the food as real tasty and much better than in an restaurant. The sauna and the tiled stove was ready prepared for fire. All together it was for us till now the best stay in a house or appartment.

Highly recommended place if you are travelling with children. There is a very big garden outside and David, the host, has sledges to play there. Very comfortable cottage full of details, very clean. There is a Dolce Gusti machine with capsules, sugar, chocolate, tea, so you can have breakfast there before you start your activities. 5 min from the airport, 5 min from Rovaniemi. You have parking at the place. Thank you so much David for making our stay perfect.
