Self catering and our host Rebecca left a really generous welcome box, not just bread, milk and tea and coffee etc. but cereal, biscuits, marmalade and butter. Well fitted, immaculate kitchen with everything you would need. Comfy sofa. Decor and fittings top quality, beautifully presented and so many additional little extras and caring touches to make your stay a good one. Not just toiletries but face cleanser, dressing gown slippers etc Location brilliant, 5 minute walk to town centre. Cottage looked beautiful and fittings exceptionally well thought out. Although it is a traditional cottage and compact, little things like a mat for your shoes at the entrance, matches for the wood burner, wide selection of information leaflets etc, went that extra mile. Well thought out - you could easily find the hairdryer and sit down to do your hair in front of a mirror. Outside was as well presented as the inside. Our hosts couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable,

I really don't think there was anything we didn't like. It is a very traditional cottage with steep stairs and limited space, However the really good hand rail made it easy to navigate the stairs and the and way in which it had been modernised, cleverly fitted out and furnished compensated for the building limitations. Maybe a bit compact for 4 adults if you were staying a long time but we were very impressed.

The cottage was cosy and comfortable and ideally situated for the town and the Minster. We enjoyed having our own space. We were made very welcome.

The plug on the washhand basin leaked so you were always chasing the water if you tried to wash rather than take a shower. Breakfast choices limited, we ended up using our own provisions.

Lovely clean and welcoming cottage in the centre of Southwell. Host was amazing and will definitely come back if staying in the area again.
