The Birdhouse with Hot Tub

Very good location

Honestly couldn’t have been better in anyway. Henry and Elizabeth are the best hosts and have the most wonderful place to host. Will definitely be back. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Eine Unterkunft zum Träumen, diese Aussicht ist der Hammer! Etwas abseits aber dafür sehr ruhig. Die Begrüssung mit Henry super herzlich. Das frische noch warme Brot auf dem Tisch und die Milch und Eier im Kühlschrank waren eine nette Geste. Der Hot Tup so privat war auch bei kühlem nassen Wetter top.

Everything! Urchin a beautiful setting and stunning views. The apartment itself is fabulous, very tastefully decorated and all the amenities you would need. The hot tub is an added bonus. The hosts Henry and Elizabeth are very sociable without infringing on your privacy. Beautiful homemade bread and scones were delicious. Do not hesitate to book.

Loved the location with fabulous views over the bay and to the seven sisters mountains. Henry and Elizabeth are amazing hosts and are knowledgeable about the area. The location was private and very peaceful.

We didn't like that we only stayed for four nights. We are booking again for a longer stay next year!

Henry and Elizabeth are Excellent hosts.This is our second stay and will be back.The Birdhouse is quality with beautiful bedding and comfortable beds,exceptionally clean accommodation ,so relaxing and amazing hospitality of the hosts.Our stay was so relaxing which was enhanced by our hot tub experience.Absolutely beautiful views from the Birdhouse.

Having to leave

Stunning views, spotlessly clean and fantastic hosts. Fantastic gesture of homemade scones and bread on arrival.

An absolute gem of a place. From our arrival the hosts were so nice yet left us our space very quickly. Very kindly there was home made scones, jam and bread left along with some handy items like milk and eggs which meant you could hustle up a meal quickly. So nice of the hosts to do so. Plenty of cleaning items like soap and shower gel too. Unit was so bright and breezy feeling modern and homely at same time. Tv gave plenty of options too so after exploring the local area was nice to come back to a very comfortable and incredibly safe feeling place. I don’t even remember locking our doors which is certainly a first! There’s an upstairs bedroom and we used the downstairs one which is right beside everything. Bathroom very modern and the whole unit was left impeccable by our hosts. Don’t trust google maps tho, come through Dunfanaghy as it’s a much faster route than the single track hair raising route it takes you almost through the mountains of the glenveigh national park. Try it once for the views but use the Dunfanaghy route normally. Apple Maps is useless, takes you in circles. Bedroom leads directly to the hot tub, 5 steps and your into instant bliss. Completely private and secluded. How to make it a million out of ten, stick a wee cover over it so that when the weather gods aren’t as friendly like we had would be so much nicer. Again the hot tub looked after perfectly. This one the chemicals spot on, used others that almost blind you with the chlorine. Kitchen well equipped, spotless again. Bed was comfortable and plenty of layers to add or remove to regulate temperature. Again everything so pristine and new feeling. Will be a real pain to leave, we enjoyed our stay so much. Book it, you’ll not be disappointed I promise.

Henry and Elizabeth met us on arrival. They are such lovely people, so friendly and welcoming. Elizabeth had baked us fresh bread and scones which were delicious. The Birdhouse is a beautiful place to stay. The property is imaculate and everything inside is spotlessly clean. Everything you would need has been provided. Both Henry and Elizabeth are on hand to provide any information you may need but once the initial introduction was made they left us in peace to enjoy the property. The view from the front of the property is amazing and the whole place is so peaceful and tranquil. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting a getaway.

The Birdhouse is excellent,from the warm loaf of bread to the hot tub. Spotlessly clean, cost and comfortable. I will stay again and recommend it highly. The hosts are friendly,welcoming and provide any information needed.
