The road to the house is quite rough, so a high clearance vehicle is essential.

The property had everything you needed. Kitchen is fully equipped and braai wood was provided. We had an amazing picnic at the waterfall, which was set up by the manager, it was definitely the cherry on top of a lovely stay.

Great breakaway from everyday and still close enough for a day in town. Beautiful view and picnic area by river.

The isolation from everything, if you want to forget about the world, this is the place. Tranquillity personified!!

A stunning remote location with brilliant views. Extremely quiet and remote (not the commercial accommodation type). Lots of space to walk and to relax without tech. Helpful and supportive hosts. The 4x4 warning/notice completely on point - specifically in rainy weather.

The location was exceptional. The house was clean and comfortable with an unlimited supply of firewood. So quiet and peaceful. The perfect getaway for a family weekend.

The only criticism I have was that there was no mention of needing a 4 x 4 vehicle until I sent a message on booking dot com, after I had booked and paid. If it had been raining we would not have been able to access the farm with our 4 x2. We arrived in the mist and dark and were directed onto a rough track up a rocky hillside by Google maps. I would recommend a more detailed description of how to get to the cottage as the instructions were very vague.

The scenery and the waterfalls are amazing. There are braai facilities and is kept neat and clean. The complete relaxation you feel when you are here is fantastic. The views are extraordinary. Owners were very helpful. The house gave you the feeling of an old farmhouse . We will definitely recommend this beautiful stay.
