BGThe owner didn’t inform us prior our arrival that the swimming pools(both kids and adult) were under renovation and that only the outdoor pool was working at the moment( which was covered with temporary structure) and when they informed us from the reception about that “detail”, he just said some excuse and that we can buy pool noodles and some other stuff from the shop and the only thing we can do is to use the temporary pool. The temporary pool isn’t appropriate for a two-year old kid. The minimum depth was 0.6m. We weren’t comfortable at all with that option and the kids didn’t have fun at all. The caravan was dusty. While our children were playing they found under the double bed a half smoked cigarette and a pillow with different pillowcase from those we had currently on our beds. Additionally, while I was putting my hairdryer in the drawer of the dressing table I found a magazine and a rolling paper (brown large ones). The heating system in the two-bed room was making continuous noises every 2-3 minutes during our whole stay and the kids couldn’t sleep during the night. It was so uncomfortable for both us and the children. Most of the times the remote control of one of the TVs didn’t work properly. So, generally we weren’t pleased with that specific caravan and wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Missed the code sent in one of 4 rambling emails from bookings.com so rang owner for help. He was rude and unhelpful. No hot water for first day and limited hot water on second day! Caravan was damp and unwelcoming!

The description of the property said it was a house when it was actually a caravan and after booking I was asked to pay an additional amount of money so we could access the facilities where we were staying which had appeared to be included in the price at the time of booking. The bedding provided was slightly damp and did not fit the beds, we had to contact the host to arrange delivery of new bed sheets and duvet cover which were still not the correct size but workable for our short stay.

Caravan is old and everything seemed to be on its last legs! Had to make our own beds up, which we thought for what we paid was not acceptable. We paid a third more for this caravan than one the previous week and there was absolutely no comparison! Disappointing. DVD player we couldn’t get to work. Net curtains were filthy and needed a wash. Shower seat was cracked. I could go on!
