The location is breathtaking making the experience truly unique. You live and sleep hearing waves crushing at the walls of the house. Next to it is the most scenic cafe/taverna of the island. The sun sets in the sea and you are provided with an exclusive stunning view.

Hot water and wifi were not working during the period of our stay and the manager was not able to find a solution. The staircase is very steep and dangerous. There were plenty of small ants in the kitchen so you had to be careful where to leave food

Location, lovely artwork and craftsmanship throughout the property. Roof terrace was a great place to relax, read and enjoy the sea. Centrally located to access all requirements - restaurants, bakers, grocery etc. And to take trips to the small inland towns and the amazing volcano crater.

We were without any water supply to the property for 17 hours, with the result that use of the toilet, shower, washing, cooking etc was impossible. The owner failed to send either a plumber or buckets etc of water in our emergency. Additionally, the washing machine failed to drain. There was no handle on the Italian expresso machine, the fridge light did not work, mugs with handles missing, only one fruit bowl, no proper cooking utensils etc. Most of these have been pointed out in previous reviews but the owner has failed to remedy. We also had an evening ferry departure and requested assistance from the owner to store our baggage for the day, he had no solution - yet most of the very many other self-catering properties we have stayed in have local arrangements in place. In summary the facilities and arrangements lack a manager/owner who has competence (and pride) in customer care!

The place with this terrace is magic

Everything would need a little renovation- starting from there wardrobe door to the laundry rack, the washing machine is not really working properly, …. There is a damp musty smell when you first enter the house, there should be done some ventilation before guests arrive. The host sends a not very friendly message at the arrival with instructions what you should not do for any reason. No further communication! The house itself could be great.
