Monday Seaside Cottage

Cool as accommodation, so interesting! I travel a lot for work and it was nice to stay somewhere with character.

Toilet needs to face other way, awkward and I am really short. But I managed! Just seemed a little strange.

Well equipped kitchen to cook dinner. Great heaters made it toasty even with overnight lows around 2-4 degrees. It had history, details of which were displayed on the walls. Lots of old records and a record player to play them on. Blasts from the past. Good fenced off courtyard for the dog.

Not much knee room for the toilet (sitting side-saddle worked). The scent diffusers were a bit strong - I’m particularly sensitive to smells (tucked them away in the cupboard).

Beautifully presented seaside cottage located just across the road from the beach. Was spotless with all the comforts of home and very dog friendly. All the amenities there to cook a meal with a well-equipped kitchen. Enjoyed sitting around the cozy electric fire, listening to the vinyle records. Had such a good sleep in the very comfortable beds. Shower water pressure was excellent. The perfect place to relax and recharge.

Beautiful little quirky cottage. Comfortable and had everything we needed. Close to the beach and local shops.

More bath towels

Quaint, historic, well kept property, lots of little curios. Great shower and well set up kitchen.

Wee bit tight for parking vehicle inside property, ended up parking on the berm. Password for wifi didn’t seem to be obvious, but was router there and sign about it, so was it part of the nightly rate? We had data on our phones so wasn’t a problem for us.

What a quirky wee place. Loved learning about the history of the cottage. The eclectic collection of furniture/furnishings added to an interesting experience. The nearby Citadel cafe was super. Easy to drive into Wanganui to explore.

The position of the toilet made life interesting!!
