The location being on Skye

Unkempt garden, inside shabby, exterior of dwelling in poor state, water staining to the bedroom roof. Hasn’t been well maintained or cared for. The underfloor heating took overnight to actually deliver any heat to the rooms. It was the middle of winter on the coldest of nights. The host hadn’t switched on the underfloor heating. It was 6c in the house for almost the whole first day we stayed of a two day stay with children.

It was storybook. We couldn’t believe we had to leave. It felt as though we were home. Close to Quiraing and Fairy Glenn’s. It was perfect for our family of 7. We will look to stay here on our next visit.

Not a single thing comes to mind

The size of the house was good.

The house looked abandoned as we approached - grass knee high and house needs painting. No WiFi despite reporting it. Could have been cleaner, especially the kitchen. No mirrors in the bedrooms, no shelves in the bathrooms. Double bed upstairs was very small. Not enough chairs/sofas in the lounge.

The area was pretty. No water views but the scenery was nice. The rooms were spacious and there was parking at the door

The house was not cleaned properly. The kitchen was very dirty, cupboards full of food jar ring stains and crumbs. There were dirty stains on the walls literally everywhere. The garden gas never been maintained and looked grubby. No property outside lighting. No outdoor seating other than a bench for 2. No internet working and the host ignored us when we asked about this when we complained about the unhygienic state of the house.
