Cosy Skye Cottage

The house space is amazing and very cozy.

Wi-Fi not working…

The property is located in the highlands almost at the end of habitation. So it is very quiet with only cows and Sheep grazing as your neighbors. We enjoyed the calm and the long walks in the nature.

The Internet (wi-fi) and TV did not work at all. While I can understand that due to the remote location but then it should not be highlighted in the features of the property. We could live without Wi-Fi even but due to the remote location, the phone also did not had any signal. This was a disappointment especially for the price paid.

Everything was perfect

The cottage is a full size 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and dining room and a large lounge room. The bedrooms are quite large too. Location is private and tucked into the Isle of Skye landscape. Communication with the host easy with quick replies.

Cottage could do with some fix ups, such as old picture hooks, shelves and light fittings being repaired or replaced. Unfortunately there was also a water leak from the upstairs bathroom into the lounge room and downstairs bedroom. The stains on the wall indicate this was not a new issue. The yard around the cottage was quite overgrown even at the front door and step. A bit disappointed that for the price, more effort in a few touch ups/ fix ups hasn't happened and host was dismissive of our request for discount.

brilliant location, superb view. exactly what we came for everything is working and in order and was a great experience

there was no olive oil in the kitchen (we had found this in most of the other apartments during our trip)
