We arrived to get the warmest of welcomes from Trish, with all the insider information of things to do in the area. The Bungalows are nestled among all sorts of trees and plants so that we were usually woken by the songs of birds in the morning. The tranquility of the place really makes you relax. Inside we found everything we needed for cooking, the bathroom was nice and spacious as was the comfy bed. We would definitely come again, and stay much longer then only 3 days!

Beautiful place and very friendly welcome by the owner and her son. It is not far away from a supermarket but you need a car to visit the island from the resort.

It is a bit difficult to sleep in the morning as there are no closes to the windows and you wake up with the day light (around 6 o'clock). But it is good for your health!!

After a few other cramped accommodations on the trip it was wonderful to have a spacious cottage all to ourselves, Full kitchen, couch in front of the TV, and even a walk-in closet. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked very well. We especially enjoyed the porch where we had our meals. We didn't have a car, but the 10 minute walk to the main road, where you can catch a mini-bus to Portsmouth, was no big deal for us. Walking a little further there is a supermarket and some take-out food options. (The jerk chicken wings at Kathryne's Restaurant are amazing!). Trish was a great hostess, and very responsive to all my questions in advance of our visit. She was helpful with local information and a recommendation to a driver who took us to beautiful Calibishie Beach. (Though the local beach, about a 20 minute walk, is also very nice, and almost completely empty on a weekday). All in all, a very nice experience, and I would not hesitate to go back.

Only one thing, and I hate to sound like a spoiled American, but there was almost not hot water in the shower. After an active day out and about, would have been nice to have a hot shower.

Dominica is an undeveloped island mostly and there are a lot of wild places in the north. Kootney Resorts had all the comforts of home and was very spacious and nicely landscaped. Trisha and Kyle went out of their way to accommodate any and all requests. There were small towns near within walking distance and groceries, restaurants, beach. We had a car to explore the area trails and waterfalls. I would highly recommend their resort.

Everything was great. We got really spacious room. It is calm and quiet place. The best thing is that we saw dominica parrots around our apartments! It is close to Indian river (about 5 minutes by car) and it is good area for exploring north of the island. We also got some useful tips from the host.
