ValleyView Cottage-Cosy, Rustic Home - Log Burner

Location, close to Durham and great walks. Everything we needed for our stay. Lovely greeting hamper. Seeing deer from the window and hearing an owl at night

Property was really lovely and exceeded expectations. The welcome pack was very appreciated. Property is very close to Deerness Valley Park with some beautiful walks, (very handy if you are with a dog). Property is clean and very well appointed. Kitchen has everything you could dream of in terms of utensils, pots and pans

Single bed was very small more like a child’s bed.

The cottage was delightful, spotlessly clean, well equipped and as cosy as promised. The owner Heather was extremely helpful and the goodies on arrival were a lovely treat. We certainly hope to be able to stay here again in the near future

The single bed is only suitable for a very small child and this was a major problem for us, as nobody could sleep in it. We paid for three bedrooms and could only use two. Very disappointing. The host offered us a discount for a future stay but sadly this wouldn't be relevant as we still wouldn't fit in the house. Also, light sleepers should be aware that the road outside is very noisy - so much so that the house shakes when lorries go by!

Great location and set up for a family with children and dogs. (double gated) The property was well proportioned and provisioned and refreshing to have supplies and spare sheets etc for the week. Walking distance to riverside trails and scenic the Ushaw College made morning and evenings extra special.

Location, well equipped, comfortable and clean. Very well equipped kitchen and nice welcome back.

Occasional road noise (we live in the middle of no where so may be us not used to it).

It felt like a home away from home, the decor was absolutely stunning with just the right amount of items to make it feel like home apart from lots of functionality and a gift basket from the hosts!!

Nothing, we stayed in 4 cottages this trip and this was our favourite we only wish we'd stayed at the cottage more.
