The beds were not so comfortable and as it was an old house, it was quite unclean and dusty. Low ceiling and doors caused couple of accidents for anyone taller than 6ft. Especially in the darkness, it was a bit hard to reach from Bowness to the cottage from narrow roads.

The property has lots of character. It is welcoming and comfortable with excellent views. Extremely spacious for a property of this type.

It was utterly charming and wonderfully homely. The wood burner in the living room added a magical touch, and the sofas were incredibly cozy. We had the most amazing time,it truly felt like home.

The temperature at night was quite warm, and I often woke up feeling a bit sweaty, while some early evenings felt a little too chilly. Better temperature control would have been ideal. There were a few spiderwebs behind the bed and wardrobe, but they added to the cottage's rustic charm and didn’t bother me overall. The rooms had a slightly musty smell, which is to be expected in an old cottage.

This place was really cosy and family friendly. It was exactly what you’d expect to find in the lakes for a traditional cottage.
