Lavender Cottage

Well equipped, and tidy clean cottage in a lovely village. Hosts were extremely hospitable. Despite being set on a working farm and livery, we enjoyed a very calm and peaceful stay.

Wifi was hit and miss. This meant we had to have a drink or two at the local pub! What a shame!! 🤣

I like being near nature. This accommodation was located near a horse stable. Horses grazed in the pasture. Quiet surroundings. The accommodation was comfortable, really beautifully decorated.

The cottage is open plan, spacious and very clean. We greatly appreciated the complimentary welcome pack. There is a brilliant shower in the bathroom and the bed was very comfortable.

Very hot as it was a heatwave! It was difficult to open some windows due to deep sills and poorly maintained fittings. There is a rough track to get to the property. This was okay for us as we have a 4x4, but a vehicle with less clearance may struggle. The actual property was not labelled so it was only identified by pictures we saw on booking details! The information pack was not very explicit so it was difficult to locate bins, etc Finally, it needs to be acknowledged that the property is across the yard from stables, and so there is daily noise and activity.

The cottage is situated on a large farm with cattle and horses, offering a sense of connection to village life and nature.

The property is ideal—perfectly located, just minutes from all nearby attractions, and wonderfully peaceful with no noise.

Great location to stay when working in the area. Well equipped, warm and comfortable. I've just returned from my second stay at Lavender Cottage with no complaints.

Wireless internet connection could be improved. You are connected to the stables wifi that can be weak and drop out, especially if you move around the cottage (and no phone signal or mobile data).
