The place is in a good location

It was not very clean, everything felt dirty. Given we paid $467 for one night we had high expectations. There was no kindling / paper or wood to light a fire with- the fire place was full of ash. That was one of the reasons I booked the place, so that we could light a fire. Everything was run down, it definitely didn’t meet our expectations for the price we paid for it.

Very good communication with us on getting into the house. Easy to collect key from key box. The beds in the two rooms were amazing. The best we stayed at in New Zealand. The bathroom has great additional heat to warm up the room before showing.

There were cigarette butts on the deck in the planters and some on the deck not cleaned up. The dishes were all still in the dishwasher on arrival at around 4pm.

The location was a short 15 min walk to the lake, shops and restaurants. The cabin was very spacious and clean. The area was very quiet at night.
