Tussock Ridge - Lake Tekapo

Location, spacious, plenty of amenities.

Bedrooms were quite warm and no fan or air conditioning in these rooms. Lack of shelving in wardrobe. Suitcase stand would be helpful.

This is managed by Lake Tekapo Holiday Homes. Our card declined becaise they(Lake Tekapo Holiday Homes) trying to charge me more than what they should. They rang me several times before chekcing in and they kindly visited us to the property we were staying first thing in the morning when we were in sleep looking right at us from the glass doors and stated he won't be leaving until we make a payment. I ended up using the credit card that I shouldnt use as they still want to charge us extra - They didnt even bother to look at our booking confirmation - didnt want to listen they just want their money with extra cash on the side.

Not sure why they were collecting money that way and why they contacted us not booking.com. I wish they just cancelled the booking now thinking back. They stated their T&Cs charging credit card fee (i.e. if you use credit card some stores charge customers extra so that they dont have to pay the fee to credit card company) House - very thin walls - so you can hear the other rooms business and not sure if this is insulated as it gets very hot when it's sunny and gets very cold after sunset. also random lady comes to your property to look after the garden without telling you and she will say "I'm just watering the garden" I assume she;s the owner? but yes there was random lady coming to the propery you are staying to look after the garden I saw her twice right at the propery... weird. I want sure if she lives nearby or upstairs. again weird. Did not enjoy her little visit and staff visiting us either. This was nightmare. Currently Booking.com is trying to resolve the issue but 1. Never book with Holiday homes in NZ - they have their own T&Cs and not very accommodating or nice. 2. If this issue is not resolved - I'm not booking with Booking.com again - I'm not going through this again when im on holiday. Nasty comapany Lake Tekapo Holiday Homes - just use hotels and resort available in Tekapo e.g. Grand Suites Lake Tekapo, Godley hotel (budget style with great location), Peppers Bluewater resort, Lake Edge holiday park and there are more so avoid booking with "Lake Telapo Holiday Homes" if you want to enjoy your holiday.

Great view from the property. The house is big (huge windows gives you the breathtaking view of the lake and mountains) and modern with a charm. It's very clean and fully equipped. The shower is brilliant. Excellent location, easy 4 minutes drive to Tekapo town and only 2 minutes from Tekapo Lake.

Oven and hob proved very tricky to get going as it was isolated. Manual instructions were not helpful but Holiday Home staff were very quick to come and help.
