Garden Cottage - Lake Tekapo

Easy access to the property. Location - maybe this could be one the closest accomodation to the church. Beautiful garden and you might even spot rabbits wondering around. The heater in the living room is great, it quickly warms up the whole house.

Very dated accomodation overall. Mouldy smell when we first arrived (which can go away after opening the windows for a while but it will come back next morning lol). Uncomfy bed, no screendoors so that you cannot get fresh air in the evening. We also found a big spider in the main room when we first got there :(

Where do I start, Honestly. This lovely old cottage was filthy. In every room, the wallpaper is peeling off, fix it, or paint the rooms. The carpet is absolutely disgusting (I couldn't even take my shoes off it was so dirty). Cobwebs everywhere, dirty windows and window tracks. Dirty entry and veranda, dirty oven, and a dishwasher still full. Such a lovely, characterful house but so dirty I couldn't wait to get out. So many safety issues, fire extinguisher hasn't been serviced in who knows how long (it was filthy) cords hanging down under the TV, windows that you couldn't open (the place smelt musty) incase they fell out. For the price of $384 for the night, it was a price gouge. Booking.com you should take this place off your list.

Perfect location and amazing views

The view of this cottage was awesome. The church can be seen from the dining room. Parking had been convenient as well. Everyone family member loves here, we wish we could stay longer.

The sink’s hot and cold water faucet are separated.

Location is great, very near to the church, we can see the church from our bed rooms.
