Maintenance on the property was shocking, The unit smelled like smoke and overall the cutlery was dirty and the unit was left dirty. The agent renting the unit did nothing to rectify on complaining about this

Nothing very sadly as we’re so looking forward to our stay.

The property is dull and dank, the surrounds of the kitchen sink are rotting. The floors are cold and the decorative overhangs in the bedroom are dusty and dirty. The whole bottom floor smells of old fireplace and you cannot get away from the smell. We had an unfortunate incident with the cleaner which the rental agency was very quick to sort out. We were offered an upgrade and did not stay at this property. We thoroughly appreciate the rental agencies help and assistance which saved our holiday although we had to waste the whole first day waiting for accommodation.

That the location was close to the beach and that there is a inside braai area.

The cottage had a cozy, quirky feel to it. Loved the large fireplace, which as it was pretty cold was a life saver. Close to the beach. Felt very safe. Beautiful comfortable furnishings. One bed had electric blanket, which was helpful in the cold. Amazing shower and bath. Very friendly and quick service from all staff. Easy to find.

Both beds really should have an electric blanket (I took hot water bottles so wasn't a problem) but this inconsistency could be a problem for other guests. The fireplace helped to heat the lounge and kitchen, but no heaters in the other rooms on such a cold weekend was difficult. Please put rugs in the bedrooms at points where you need to be barefooted (next to bed and in changing area. The cold, hard floors were unnecessarily uncomfortable. The main bedroom's wardrobe had a very unpleasant strong musty smell - I did not want to put my clothes in there. We could not lock the front door and then the next day managed to lock it, but then could not unlock it when trying to get back in. It was explained that the wood had likely expanded due to heavy rainfall, and that made perfect sense. The staff at the letting agency were brilliant - very helpful and acted straight away to solve the issue. There was a cell number I could call and help came quickly which I deeply appreciated.

The wood around the basin was constantly wet and it looked unhygienic. Otherwise it was ok
