great location, short walk to the beach or restaurants.

bed was very hard. But, not uncomfortable for me. Some might find this uncomfortable though.

located on a quiet street in between surin beach & bang tao. Bang Tao was probably our favourite but the street vendors at surin are unrivalled. Be aware it’s a “self” accommodation, not a hotel so there is no daily cleaning but this wasn’t a problem for us. Ton the owner was super friendly and helpful always ready to answer any questions we had. Huge space and a functioning kitchen to cook if you need to. There is a Muay Thai camp behind, some people mentioned in previous reviews that it was noisy - we didn’t experience any extreme noise during our stay. Will stay again!

This place has everything I needed. Actually, even more than I needed because it is well suited for long stays: it has lots of closets, a kitchen with equipment and utensils, great bed, a terrace, a swimming pool in case you don't feel like walking to the beach. The host is super. Showed me everything quickly, friendly and very much to the point. . And when I forgot how to open the gate (which was actually open) he immediately came to the house to help me. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the beach, but I enjoyed walking past all the restaurants and shops and banana trees.

It was my first stay at such a place (not in a hotel), and only there I realized that I was supposed to clean rooms by myself. This was not that convenient for me. It probably was written in description of the house, and I didn't pay attention to it. But I am sure if you ask the host, he'll arrange cleaning for you for a bit of extra charge. The place is a bit aged, not brand new, but totally good value for money.

Furniture was old, the walls are light so you can hear everything what is going on outside the house (e.g. thaibox lessons from 7AM)

the staff is very supportive and friendly. He he.led us got a reasonable price for scooter rental and snorkling tour
