Rustic Beach House

Spacious house, walking distance from the beach. The place is actually nicer than the picture shows, it has a lovely sea view from upstairs veranda.

We had to pay to use the wi-fi. And due to load shedding, we ended up hardly using it.

The property and location are beautiful and it really is a beautiful rustic house

it was just the issue about the electricity, but that was out of all of our control

The size of the house and it felt like a holiday home away from home. All the amenities were available. Beds galore . Blankets to cater for sitting om the stoep even with a howling wind . Was 👍 fantastic

One of the visitors did not like the wooden floor between levels. But nobody else thought it was a problem

The property is spacious so you’re able to balance privacy while still getting away in a group. It’s easily accessible yet secure. Checking in and out is easy and seamless.

There aren’t any negatives about the property, but maybe some items can be clarified prior to booking already. For example - indicating “beachfront” usually means the beach is easily accessible from the property itself. In this case, the beach can be accessed by a path on a nearby road and there are houses in between. Items such as shower gel, soap etc are not included. This would be useful to know before or at the point of booking. The hosts did inform us about not having wifi (unless purchased) or DStv. Something like wifi tends to be a standard offering, maybe just include it in the cost of the stay regardless instead of offering to purchase on the side? A list of nearby restaurants would be great to have, especially as places close so early. Fynbos Estate provides a menu that you can actually take away.
