"What a treat, beautiful welcoming place"

10.0

We had a lovely short break at Tryfan cottage. Considering we last minute booked, everything was perfectly set out & clean in this beautifully decorated warm cosy place. Spacious rooms with mountain views from the kitchen. Watching the sun go down on the day we arrived was a real treat. Excellent location for peace & quiet but also short drive to Betws y Coed and the Mountains. The facilities are good and my favourite was the jacuzzi bath which was especially appreciated after a long day on the hills. Good WiFi Lovely and warm cottage.

Nothing Only improvement really would be the addition of a Smart Tv so we could log in and view Netflix, Amazon prime, Apple TV etc

"Wouldn't hesitate to recommend"

9.0

We thought the property was lovely and well appointed. The host was friendly and communicated very well by message and gave us all the information we needed. The property was spacious and warm and cosy. Kids loved the ice machine on the fridge and the Welsh cakes and having their own en suite. The kitchen was well equipped - with a whole block of sharp knives which pleased me as I was cooking and hate it when there's only a blunt veg knife which is often the case! Betws-y-Coed is a short drive away. The narrow road to the property is quite steep so we wouldn't have walked it but not a problem if you're happy to hop in the car, which we were. We had a lovely walk to Lyn Elsi, lovely lunch at the Alpine Cafe and tasty pizza on Station Road. That was so poplar that we had to eat outside in February, but heaters and the provided blankets made it more more comfy than we initially thought it would be. We also had an afternoon in Portmeirion (40 mins away), Black Rock Sands for sand dune jumping and the Criccieth Beach for excellent stone skimming! Lots of lovely places to visit in easy reach! Highly recommended

My 15 year old son found his single bed too hard which I guess is personal preference (he is used to a softer mattress) but sadly he didn't sleep well as a result. The double bed was lovely and comfy with good quality pillows/duvet and cotton sheets so there was no issue there. Everything else was top notch!
