"Very comfortable cottage and the location provided the peace & quiet & natural beauty we wanted."

9.0

We really liked the location, the peace & quiet and the privacy. We were also impressed with the home made bread and jams and the other 'necessities' that were available upon our arrival (until we had time to get to the shops, etc.). It was such a comfortable stay and we are only too happy to recommend this property to others.

We arrived at night (our choice) and it also happened to be a night with extremely heavy rain which made it very difficult to find the exact location of the cottage. Our advice to anyone choosing this location/property is to arrive during the daylight for maximum comfort. This isn't a complaint, nobody can control the weather, just advice for others in the future.

Amazing location, very comfortable and well equipped. Jan goes above and beyond to create a warm welcome - her wheaten bread and jams are delicious!

"A much needed break and rest"

10.0

The cottage and its peaceful location. our host was very helpful and friendly. It had a great queen size bed and dresser ,wardrobe and bedside cabinets for clothes. The settee was a recliner just right to watch a film on.

The only thing I wouldn't do again is listen to our sat nav for directions , it took us down narrow country roads. The best and easiest way is to head into Castlewellan , then at roundabout. go. left towards Newcastle , Dundrum. then another left to maghera and lane for cottage is on left just pass two new houses being built.

We would highly recommend Tuckmill Cottage and will definitely be back. Jan couldn't have been nicer. There was a lovely welcome pack including homemade wheaten bread and jam. The cottage was immaculate, with a huge comfy bed and everything we could need. Fantastic location. Wonderfully quiet and great base from which to explore.

There was nothing we didn't like!
