Townside Lodge

Everything was great! The hosts were nice, the location was perfect, one of the best restaurants with amazing live music was in the walking distance. The days of our stay were rainy but the house was so big and it had boardgames, we really enjoyed that

If you're on the first floor, and somebody else is on the second floor, the footsteps are too loud

Lovely property, you hire the whole house. There is kitchen equipment provided if you want to cook. They have little touches too like games and extra blankets for the colder nights. We didn’t have a problem with the internet usage (it was strong signal). We did go over the allotted usage amount but it’s not expensive for more. The hosts are really helpful and friendly.

We were really surprised how well the host spoke English, so we could communicate flawlessly. He gave us some great recommendations of the locak tourist attractions and restaurants, but also provided us with two bicycles and a bike route so we could go explore. They also brought us tea the first evening and then even some really good sandwiches for breakfast next morning. The house itself was clean and the beds were really comfortable. There is even a carrom table, some cards (UNO) and a darts board outside, so there is plenty of entertainment. The kitchen is decently stocked with the basic necesities such as pots and pans, cutlery, plates and some other basic kitchen utensils and also a fridge and a microwave. The house is really spacious and could easilly accomodate larger groups.

The only slightly negative thing we could possibly find was the fact that when you walk on the second floor it is quite loud on the first floor. Just as a heads up rhere is no heating but for the night there is more than enough blankets to keep you warm so we weren't inconvinienced by it even in the slightest.

Getting to the property was easy. The property is well located and walking distance from the market and restaurants, yet in a quite and peaceful neighbourhood. We had the entire place to ourselves. The owner Dilshan was in touch with us all throughout, also helped us with a cab operator's number for local sightseeing. His mother sent us breakfast snacks each morning along with coffee, which was unexpected and very kind of them. It's a lovely place for a big group of friends to stay and chill- we really wished we had more time here.

The big room on the upper floor doesn't have an attached washroom, and one must go to the common washroom downstairs, which is slightly inconvenient at night times.

The place is very close to the center, very clean, we came as a family and the kids have a lot of space to play and enjoy, the place is very big, and we had a place to cook for the kids. The family is really nice and warm. It is very recommended, great value for its price.

The staff provided genuinely heartfelt service and Everything is perfect, The is full of beautiful flowers and well maintained gardens ,very comfortable room, which truly moved me. They prepared everything to align perfectly with my travel schedule and were always kind and attentive. It was a wonderfully special experience. 100%

upstairs No private bathroom in Night time using that’s the only thing otherwise perfect

Our stay at was truly exceptional for our family. From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. The house we stayed in was spacious and thoughtfully designed, making it easy for everyone to relax. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials The hotel’s location was also ideal for families. It was within walking distance of parks, museums, and family-friendly attractions. Overall, townside Lodge is a fantastic choice for a family stay.. we left with wonderful memories. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to other families!

The place is really awesome and one of a kind. The weather is chilly as hell but you can have the barbeque lit and warm yourself. The owners are really cool and friendly. We had a great time with them. I honestly recommend this place if you want to have the best of experience in Nuwara Eliya.
