dinner and room very pleasant, staff friendly

A good location within walking distance of the city centre. The building itself is a renovated church with lots of character. Parking (paid) was a short walk away in a public car park, although it is possible to pull up outside the hotel to unload luggage and passengers first. We loved Poitiers and the surrounding area, and hope to return.

Excellent staff made our stay much easier especially Benjamin on the front desk who booked taxi , advised about the town and where to go and booked our tablesin the restaurant. Restaurant staff also helpful, friendly and efficient. Room clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. Good easy access to town centre

This hotel is a converted chapel, and the designers have preserved as much of the gothic revival architecture as possible. This makes for a very attractive lobby and restaurant, and even some of the rooms have 19th century masonry. The rooms are small, but intelligently designed and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is excellent.

Hotel has a lot of character with the expected comforts of a Mercure. The rooms are fairly small but adequate for a few nights stay. Poitiers is easy to find your way around and benefits from many pedestrianised streets. Head up to the main square for several restaurants and bistros. Overall, we enjoyed our stay - ideal for a 2-3 night stopover.

Good hotel but would have liked a fridge in the room. The building itself was very interesting as it had been modernized but kept many of it's older architectural features.

Very pleasant experience with most helpful staff and delightful building

An interesting building incorporating the architecture of a church. We were disappointed on arrival by the lack of storage drawers and clothes hangers. We were immediately moved to a similar size room which had more storage for clothing. The room design was a little strange as the toilet was the other side of the bedroom from the shower and washbasin. The staff were very helpful especially when the electronic keycard to our door did not work on two days out of four.

Very nice staff. Room (in newer part of hotel) was very nice and quiet. The madeleines available all day long were a nice touch for my kids. I'm not sure that the hotel merits four stars for the section we were staying in, but overall we were quite pleased with our stay. The restaurant looked quite interesting but was closed on Sunday. The hotel was in the middle of downtown with an excellent location and the parking at the theater parking lot was very easy to manage. I would definitely stay here again.

Great staff. Switched us to a room after complaints about the room we were put in. Very very noisy on the street below our window. Do not settle for a street side room. Restuarant attached had good food and typical poor service. Price was higher than expected for the quality. Paris prices! Overall this us not a 4 star location and is a 3 if you get a room off the street. I would not stay there again.
