Location great log burner however not enough wood for our stay comfortable beds

Flies sugar coffee in little pots uncovered and the barn was covered in flies they have Insectorcutor up this is not enough cover open food

Location is idyllic, very quiet and rural, lovely.

Couldn’t turn the heating down as the controls are not accessible to guests. Which I understand but also made it uncomfortably warm when we stayed.

The size of the barn

Cooker was very dirty. Property very dusty and just needed some tlc

Lovely location very nice for walks, beds and sofas were very comfortable and was very cosy.

On arrival we had no bath towels, no hand wash towels or tea towels. It was stated before booking they provide toilet roll but was none , it was provided upon request. Nearly every room had dead insects and cob webs. Shower downstairs has barely pressure and had to sit in the bath and shower with the other shower connected to the bath taps .WiFi was really bad.

The size of the lounge was very good, especially with 7 of us staying, and 3 dogs! The kitchen was very well equipped, with plenty of cooking utensils. The bedrooms in the roof had lovely en-suites, especially the one with a roll top bath. One of the bedrooms downstairs was just right for my mother-in-law (who was celebrating her 95th birthday with us) and the bathroom located next door to the room was ideal for her. Plenty of room also in the second bedroom downstairs, a twin bedded room but easy to push the beds together. We liked the utility room, especially to store the dog's things. This would be an ideal room if it had been wet and we needed to dry them off! Parking for 3 cars was easy and there would still be room for more. The rear garden was a good size and there was a seating area to the front, with table and chairs. The wood burner gave out good heat, too much one evening! Location is very quiet.

The only one point I would say is the heating was too warm for the time of year (Nov 24). It would be lovely if it was cold outside but unfortunately it was too mild. The wifi was very slow - but it did make us all go off line!!

We would have liked a better hospitality tray. The heating was too high when we arrived but we managed to turn it off completely with help from the maintenance man. One shower was inadequate due to limescale but we didn’t have time to get it sorted when we were there.(The shower screen kept swinging outward too so water was falling on the wooden floor.)

The property is a beautiful spacious converted barn with everything you need. Situated in the countryside it was very peaceful.

Needs a good dust around as lots of dust and cobwebs on furniture and lamps but this did not affect our stay
