Barnsley, Turret House Windrush Lake

The property was nice and clean and well maintained. The children’s play area on the grounds was also good for family with smaller children.

There was no sound proofing throughout the house, with squeaking stairs and loud floors, making it noisy with two families staying. I also didn’t appreciate having to strip the beds, and gather all the towels together at the end of our stay as I feel for the price paid this should have been well part of the service.

Lovely views, nice location and spacious house.

We did have a problem with a leak from the bathroom to the kitchen ceiling but it was fixed straight away after ringing the number provided.

Very comfortable. Lovely decor. Stunning location. Perfect size for our family weekend away. Will definitely be visiting again!

More toilet roll and kitchen items (washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc) would have been great.

The location, parking directly outside.

The property is tired and in need of an update to the decor and furnishings. Leaking toilet in on-suite, broken chairs in living area, loose plinth on dishwasher, uncomfortable dining table bench chairs. The location was ideal for our family stay. I'd also booked Mayfly Lodge on Isis Lake, at the same time. This property was far superior in it's offering as a family place to stay.
