Villa Nayra

A lovely, well equipped and secluded villa in a quiet area with a small supermarket just over the road. Easy to park our SUV rental in the car port and a short drive into the town with it's many restaurants and bars. However, El Tonel is a rustic restaurant a short walk away and served us superb food and wine at very reasonable prices. The heated swimming pool is bracing to start but comfortable when in and anyone that thinks otherwise has never experienced an unheated pool! The hosts clearly listen and act on reviews as there were 2 irons, plastic tumblers and plates for the pool area, more pillows etc etc. WiFi worked well at about 9Mbps and we are already missing the singing kettle! The Carnicería DAK butchers next to the Spar Punta Limones supermarket was a great find for meat for the bbq. It cooked our T-bones beautifully. Carol was very welcoming and attentive on WhatsApp and sending the map reference made it very easy to find. We would be very happy to spend more time here.

Good price and location for us as we had a car. Air con.

Could have done with more comforts. Not enough pillows for beds only 1 each No cushions for sofa. Minimal matching crockery, glasses. No plastic tumblers for around pool/outside area Air con unit in master kept going off, was left with no Air con for a night and was boiling! After the management company attended the day after she advised us to reset the fuse box which rectified this problem. Had to do this a couple of times. Pool not heated and was quite cold for young children.

A lovely apartment and pool. We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and a small shop close by. WiFi and air-conditioning were useful as was the washing machine. Playa Blanca is a great place to visit.

There were not enough towels provided and some of the utensils were not very good, e.g., the frying pan needs replacing and the saucepans were just about ok to cook a meal with. This apartment is quite far from the beach so it's best to have a car (which we did) to get around.
