CASA DA ALDEIA II

Amazing cosy little house in a village. Exactly what I needed to my first rural Portugal visit:) Nicely decorated and very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the working retro radio receiver, much better than the TV:) Lot of options for walks around.

Not a problem for me, but there is no real heating for the few winter nights. Don't forget to take a pair of long johns:)

The place itself is very well appointed, very cold though.

Very cold house

Casa da Aldeia is really cousy and confortable and the kitchen is very well equiped. The location is quite nice, since it's a small village but still close to a number of different cultural and natural attractions. Teresa was really helpfull and welcoming and proactive. She would reply to messages almost instantly and we received a number of good suggestions.

The wi-fi connection was unstable during these days, which might have been due to bad weather. We spent five nights in Alcaria Ruiva, and some of the nights, as expected in such a village, there were some dogs barking at late hours.

Simply a wonderful little house. So clean and cozy. I stayed for 9 nights and I loved it. I had many small roadtrips to the neighbourhood towns and places, praias fluviais and more; Mértola, Castro Verde, Beja, Navarro, Corte da Velha, Minhas de São Domingo, Pulo de Lobo etc. The village of Alcaria Ruiva is lovely and the locals friendly and helpful. There was a heat wave of up to 35°C (I stayed in October) but the house is obviously well isolated because I didn't really need to use the air-conditioning. Muito obrigada, I will definitely be back 🤗

The only thing was that I couldn't not use two stove tops at the same time. The electricity would go out.
