The owners were gracious enough to allow for an early check-in. I loved the historic nature of the home. We turned on the space heaters and the home was cozy in no time. We had a peaceful, comfortable night's sleep.

The cable tv was not functioning when we arrived. The previous tenant apparently disconnected some wires. Luckily, my husand was able to determine which cords to plug back in and get us up and running.

The location was great and the house is well kept and very clean. The water pressure and hot water in the shower were AMAZING.

I booked this spot for the woodstove but I didnt realize that was the main source of heat. There were space heaters upstairs and they worked fine once they had been running for awhile and the wood stove heated up the downstairs well but this made for very cold mornings and a lot of extra labor (keeping a fire going for hours is hard work!) Not sure I would've paid this much if I knew there was no central heating.

The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The outside of the home had character.

On one of the coldest nights of the year, we entered the home to find there was no central heat only a wood stove and a few space heaters. It was so cold there was ice frozen in the toilet! The lighter left at the house didn’t work so we had to go back to the store to buy a lighter before we could even start a fire. The steps were extremely steep and the bed was not comfortable at all.

Great location

No heat except for two small space heaters to heat whole house. It was not a comfortable place or felt safe seeing electric socket taped to wall. Dirty rags were stuffed around the window air conditioner to insulate. It had very windy stairs to upstairs bedrooms (not good for older folks or small kids). The main bedroom was up steps and you had to walk through the other bedroom to access bathroom so probably not best set up for multiple people.

Key was in a cypher lock
