"A beautiful house with incredible views."

10.0

A beautiful house with an incredible amount of space and everything we needed. It felt more like staying in someone's home than a holiday property. The location is absolutely fantastic with amazing views of Dash Falls, the fells and the sea and because of the lack of light pollution at night the stars were incredibly clear. Loved it and would definitely stay there again.

The track up to the house is a bit rough, but to be expected given its location. The house and the views were definitely worth it though.

"Highly recommend this stunning location to all nature and mountain lovers"

9.0

The farmhouse was beautiful, very well heated and very cosy - with plenty of room for many guests! Waking up surrounded by mountain views and hiking trials was such a joy. The house has everything you need in terms of kitchen appliance, cooking equipment, bedding etc etc.

The only slight issue were the roads leading up to the property. These were a little rough for our little car which would have been nice to know. The bigger cars shouldn't have any issue.

"Wonderful peaceful stay in november"

10.0

The location is really great. You can start walking the Skiddaw fells right from the house. And the views (scotland is even visible on clear days) are stunning. There are no other houses/people nearby so it is wonderfully quiet, only the sounds of the sheep, chickens and the weather. The house is wonderfully warm and with excellent kitchen facilities.

"It was a wonderful, magical place"

10.0

The location was brilliant - the ultimate place to get away from it all. It looked as picturesque as in the film Supernova. We would definitely go again. It is a rustic farmhouse with all the modern facilities.

Location in the middle of nowhere. Amazing views of the mountains around, waterfalls and lake in the distance. About 10min drive on a rough track to get to the farm. Heated floor downstairs. Loads of space inside for everyone. Very good communication with the host. Kids loved to see the sheep and chicken around. We all loved it - thank you.

Wished the fire place could have been use.

"Amazing"

10.0

Absolutely stunning location, views of the mountains, the waterfall, the lake and even the sea. Whatever the weather, it was gorgeous. So quiet at nice, with only the sheep or the chickens making the odd noise. The house is amazing, such a lovely atmosphere and feel to it. The bath was amazing too. Water gets very hot and really good pressure - much better than i get at home. It's also not too far from Keswick if you need to go to town (although it takes a little while to get to the main road!).

There were a few cobwebs about that could have been removed before arrival (I don't like spiders!), and signs of a mouse in the kitchen, but nothing too worrisome, and it's something to be expected when in such a rural location. The track leading up to the house is a little bumpy and might be a struggle for smaller cars like mine, but there was a spot before it to park and walk up the hill if you don't want to risk it.
