Ironstone Cottage

The setting is beautiful and immersed in nature. Loved the collection of plants surrounding the venue

The weather was extremely cold and the place needed heaters for this weather. Would definitely visit again in summer to take advantage of the pool

Host was exceptional

N/A in terms of breakfast. Location very nice, quiet and very convenient for access to Camdeboo National Park

Maintenance: difficult front door : needs sanding. Also one of bedroom doors scraping against tiles: One of the cutlery drawers needed cleaning.

The area as well as the cottage was great.

We loved the setting and all the attention to detail. A private pool and fire pit all added up to make our stay fantastic. We loved the long deep veranda and enjoyed the sunset sunrise and full moon and loads of stars. We will certainly stay for longer next time.

you are staying on a farm, maybe 10 Min outside of town along a gravel road. It is easy to find and to get there. we did like that it is super peaceful and you have the feeling you are in the middle of a country side. the cottages have some nice personal touch and feel very comfortable. we would stay here again, as it is very nice.

we got the day before arrival all the info including the Wifi password, Once arrived we unpacked everything and then started to set up the wifi which didn't work, we contacted the host and they did had trouble with this cottage. As we did required wifi they did offer us another cottage: but it was a bit annoying as we already unpacked everything and had to pack and unpack again after a long day on the road. It would have been nice, to get the notice that the wifi is not working and we could get another cottage - as we booked the larger more expensive cottage with full fridge - we ended up with the smaller cottage which was nice, but only had a freezer compartment .
