Shower pressure is a wee bit low for me

It is really nicely set out we only stayed for a night so we did not use the cooking facilities. The owners were very helpful giving advice on cycling routes.

There was no milk for coffee, and coffee or tea is a good way to start the day.

Heaven on earth… Situated in a serene, quiet location, that really feels remote. Food for the soul. I quickly found myself relaxing and forgetting about time on the hammock looking out over the valley. We had a braai in the evening, and all of the necessary utensils were present. We were really impressed. Great info left by the hosts on walks, activities etc., meant we had so much at our disposal had we wanted to do more than kick back and relax. You really have to stay more than a couple of nights, so we will be back. The pool that lights up at night is an amazing addition. The beds are comfy and big, both rooms have on-suites with a walk in shower. Couldn’t rate this property higher. It is an absolute dream, remote, tranquil and a wonderful stay. Bonus: we were visited by two beautiful dogs, a rifrug on the evening, and a Jack Russel in the morning. The most friendly dogs.

Not much to add here, everything was pretty much perfect. But, a suggestion on one or two things would add to the property. A net to get rid of the bugs floating on top of the pool would be amazing. As with any pool, bugs do end up in the pool, and it would be great for guests to be able to clean the pool before getting in to make sure the critters are gone.

Fantastic wild Karoo atmosphere, very quiet. Well-stocked bookshelf. Roaring fireplace for cold evenings.

Access road is currently in good condition, driveable with normal car - needs clearance. May be problematic after heavy rains..

The property was authentic and beautiful Ironstone cottage is an applicable name loved all the antique pieces and fireplace ! The views are spectacular

Loved everything will definitely be back in summer next time to enjoy the splash pool and hammock
