Skiathos island house

Our host was really friendly and helpful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and perfectly located just a short walk from the bars and restaurants of Skiathos.

Nothing to dislike!

Great little house in the old town of Skiathos, good to reach by foot or by taxi, when you have heavy luggage. The house was nicely renowated (most beautyful bathroom I have seen in three weeks), perfectly equipped and the host is superfriendly. By foot you are very near to the buzzling center of Skiathos and on your way back up the stairs you can burn some calories from a heavy dinner.. ;-)

The little street nearby is used by motorbikes that is why it is not superquiet, but I think that is the case with all the houses in the old town.

The house is even better than the photos and in such a perfect location a short distance from the restaurants of the old town and port, and close the the beach and Plakes for swimming off the rocks. It was perfect for a family, plenty of plates and cutlery and plenty of space on the upstairs terrace to put out swimwear and towels to dry so they didn't have to go on the balcolny. The hosts are lovely, friendly and very welcoming.

Lovely central apartment with a big terrace. The hosts were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend.

The biggest concern i have over this property is that it is so fantastic, once people realise this we may not find future availability!! Upon arrival we sent our host (Evangelia) a message and she opened the door remotely, and we found our key card inside. The house has everything you need for a really enjoyable stay in Skiathos, there is plenty of space for a family, with a nice small double room with wardrobe space with access to the balcony you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks and say "Yassou" to the lovely neighbours. We had constant communication from Evangelia in advance of our stay with excellent details of how to find the house, although if you know where the 2 churches are then its very easy to find as it sits in the middle. The house has facilities to cook (oven) & (Microwave) and a washing machine, which is brilliant for a 2 week holiday. There is easy access to the rooftop where you can dry your clothes too ;-) I would love to see a kettle added to the excellent kitchen so you can make a cup of coffee without having to boil a saucepan, however i think this may just be an English thing! We also met Madeleine who lives downstairs and is the housekeeper, and she told us that there is going to be an addition to this perfect little house with a nice little garden/courtyard which is still being finished, but when it is ready next year (hopefully) it will be an excellent place to sit and relax after a hard day at the beach. There is a small supermarket within a 1 minute walk with really friendly owners, and the bakery a 2 minute walk away in the opposite direction towards the car park, is run by a welcoming English lady and she has some of the most amazing pastries and pre made baguettes you could wish for. All in all this house is absolutely perfect and it is clear that Evangelia has given a lot of thought to making your stay enjoyable. We will see you again soon ;-)

A couple of minor improvements i would suggest to make this house even better is that there are more pillows added to the beds so every person staying has at least 2 pillows each and if there is a way of adding some brackets on the wall or a small wardrobe to the room upstairs where you could hang some clothes, or maybe even some drawers to put clothes away, and finally that the roof window has a blackout blind fitted so the morning light does not interrupt the person sleeping.
