Everything. The hosts were amazing and met us on arrival.They explained everything & were so helpful in organising dinner reservations for us. Lots of lovely local produce was left for us as well. Would 100% recommend a stay here. Place was even nicer than the pics. Thank you for all.

Loved everything. Small change would be to have two single beds in one of the bedrooms. Everything else was super.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the warmest welcome from our hosts, Marco and Iliana. They took the time to show us the property and all the amazing details.. they had a few local provisions in the kitchen that made our stay extra special too! The garden, the view from the house and the pool, the modern amenities..I could go on and on but you just have to see for yourself.. the property is 5 star and 10 out of 10!! Thank you for a memorable family stay!

Super equipped, great views, quiet, comfy beds. Marco is a FANTASTIC host. So helpful and knowledgeable. The BEST property host we have had ever.

Can’t think of any negatives

Quinta do Charco exceeded all expectations! It is hard to put into words how wonderful this property was. Thank you Marco and Lolanda for the personal introduction to the house and gardens, it was the best start to our visit. The sustainable features of the house show the immense thought that has gone into the beautiful property. The communication regarding activities and restaurants to visit was also so helpful. This place is truly a little piece of heaven on earth and we cannot wait to return again for a longer stay! Of note, we were in the Azores when the entire country of Portugal lost electricity for a sustained period of time. Fortunately this did not affect us in the Azores (particularly at Quinta do Charco where the home is run by sustainable power), but Marco and Lolanda were so gracious to offer their help/accommodations if our travel plans were disturbed.

We loved our stay! The hosts were such kind, genuine people who really thought of everything. We were surprised with a highchair, which was very helpful. We enjoyed trying the local treats that they so thoughtfully left for us. The communication was very easy and Marco provided us helpful information throughout our stay. Great location for traveling the island with a rental car. Property and house are well-maintained. We’re our Portuguese-American, so we know and greatly appreciate their hospitality. We wish had could have had a few more days there and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Even our toddler didn’t want to leave!

There is nothing we didn’t like, just noting that the master tub may be a bit difficult to get in and out of or bathe kids for some.

A wonderful, very special property, home and lovely fruit orchard. The detail in the homes construction reflected conscientious environmental choices. Very relaxing, comfortable and spotless. Exceptional hosts, every detail was taken care of prior to arrival, and the information provided to enjoy the beautiful island of Sao Miguel during our stay suited our every interest and even considered the current weather conditions.

We fell in love with Quinta do Charco - what a special place. Lovely sea views, situated within a quiet area but still very central - 5 minutes to shops / petrol station and 20 minutes from the airport. The house was lovely and clean, super facilities - thoughtful extras such as hairdryer, lilos for the pool, cotton pad and buds in the bathroom. The owners Marco and Iolanda are extremely thoughtful and helpful - really made our stay! Each day we received a text on recommendations for the day on what to do and where to eat. The reviews speak for themselves - we will be back!!

Marco and Iolanda must be in the running for kindest, most helpful, and most accommodating hosts in Sao Miguel, or all of the Azores for that matter! They thought of everything to help our family and children be comfortable, and have an amazing time. They provided us with wonderful goodies upon arrival, showed us around the property and were responsive with many recommendations and any requests. The home is super clean, modern, and amazing, the view fantastic, and the pool is fabulous. I would stay here again and again. The location is perfectly central for traveling around the island- however, not ideal if you are looking for walking distance to anything.

The property was great. Very spacious private and clean and perfect location to downtown and airport. The hosts were incredible. Could not have asked for better!

The roads around the property are narrow and tight. A few intersections dangerous but this is typical throughout the island.

The property was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and pristine. The full walls of windows allowed for surrounding views of the gardens, hills and ocean. The furniture was all comfortable, excellent amenities- all very modern. The pool area was delightful. It was all so beautiful and luxurious!
