Quinta do Charco

I would give 20 out of 10 if I could!! We have never experienced such service, generosity and kindness. Beautiful Beautiful house great location Marco and Iolanda gave us top notch travel advice depending on the weather, great restaurant recommendations, they bought masks and snorkels for us to use, stocked the fridge with Azorean specialities. Just too many things to mention Highly highly recommended

NOTHING AT ALL

Yolanda and Marco were awesome hosts! From before checking in until even after we left they were so kind and thoughtful. The house is immaculate and the pool and grounds are amazing. Could not ask for more!

We stayed in the property last year, so have a look at my previous review, but it is basically perfection if you like a modern, high tech, architect designed house with clean simple lines and wonderful views. The hosts are very special people. They love the house, the island even more, and are very keen to make sure you have the best possible time there. They are more than happy to engage and advise, but are never intrusive. The smallholding/allotment next to the house has been improved and depending on what time of year you visit you have access to all the produce. We had fresh oranges, lemons, spinach, cabbage, one tomato (with lots about to ripen), baby courgettes, strawberries, a good variety of herbs and runner beans. Still waiting to ripen were bananas, passion fruit, persimmons and figs.

Everything! The property speaks for itself, but it was the owners who went above and beyond that made our stay truly exceptional.

Our stay at Quinta do Charco was magical beyond all expectations. Marco und Iolanda were very friendly and amazing accomodating. They gave us recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. We received also delicious suprises. We could not have wanted for single thing. Thank you very much for taking care of us and of our needs during our stay! We enjoyed everything! If we come back to Sao Miguel we would not consider staying anywhere other than here. Absolutely perfect! Sad to leave Quinta do Charco.

I honestly have never had such an amazing stay and host. We had great communication leading up to our rental period. Marco and Lolanda welcomed us with such a sweet and warm energy. They showed us around the home and you can truly tell that they love their home! Such care and love in how the talk about the fruit and vegetable garden,the island and all the small details in their home. We even got some local sweets and cheese on arrival. Every morning we would pick our own salad and some tomatoes to make breakfast.. how enchanting is that!! During our whole stay the host kept on helping us with what activities where best to undertake in regards to weather or our likings. And half way trough our stay they even popped over to put some sweets in our fridge. Really no word for how amazing this stay was!! We will come back for sure!!!

Gorgeous villa, great location on the island! We stayed for two weeks with my family and our 10 month old little boy. The villa is fantastic and has everything you need....our little boy loved the swimming pool! The hosts are lovely and on our arrival had stocked the fridge with local products which was such a nice touch. They were incredibly helpful during our stay and made lots of recommendations for places to go and things to see. They were also great at communicating with us before we arrived and if there was anything we needed during our holiday. Wish we could have stayed longer and could not recommend this place more! X
