"We had a really enjoyable stay in the cottage."

8.0

Good location. A great base for our weekend. Everything was in walking distance. Well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy. Very much served its purpose for the weekend.

The front drive of the property was over grown and rubbish overflowing in the bins. The back garden was also very over grown and not useable, apart from the decking area. The bathroom was a bit tired. Need new tea towels as looked a bit old.

The open plan living room kitchen

It says it can accommodate 8 people it’s a rather small property to accommodate 8 a super small garden no space for young children to play the hot water is rubbish we managed one bath/ wash between the 7 of us before there wans many warm water I won’t say hot because it doesn’t get hot!

"Convenient, nicely decorated cottage within arm’s reach of Frinton’s beautiful beaches and lovely cafes / eateries."

7.0

Great location, modern, off street parking and capacity to sleep more people if required.

It was very cold downstairs - imagine maybe it hadn’t been let out for a while? - which necessitated coats staying on but lovely and warm upstairs. By the time we left it had warmed up.

Very comfortable beds. Stair gate was good to prevent our dog going upstairs. 10 minute walk to beach.

Broken fence in garden. No scissors and no replacement bags for the food waste

"Highly recommended"

We really wanted to spend a bit of time by the sea, and this was perfect. Under a mile from the beach, and minutes from the station, which if you're travelling by train with a lot of bags is fantastic! It's a gorgeous house, beautifully furnished and decorated and even my dog felt right at home as soon as we got there. We had a small issue getting hot water the second night and the host had a plumber out at 9 the following morning and got it fixed. I could not recommend this place more.

"Overall a lovely stay and we would be happy to return."

9.0

Very comfy bed and very quiet location. The welcome pack of prosecco, biscuits and milk were very appreciated. The host had thought of everything and it is a home from home

The stairs were quite steep and a bit unnerving with no railing one side

"We would not recommend this cottage or return"

4.0

The location was good. Easy access to Frinton

A broken double bed where the slats where broken rendered the bed unsafe & unable to use on the first night. The temp solution in place during our stay lasted until our 4th night . So very poor sleep both nights. The host seemed uninterested in our situation & slow to respond. This impacted on our holiday plans.Efforts to arrange some recompense for our experience was rebuffed. Additionally the bathroom was grubby & old.The garden was overgrown with no maintenance. Our perception is that there is a complacency in providing high quality or a good service as Frinton on Sea,as a beautiful place to visit, has a captive audience.
