"Convenient gem"

9.0

So convenient for station and all that Brighton has to offer. Easy to walk (and travel) everywhere. Accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable break away. Shower (plenty of hot water) and towels (thick and large), useful colourful 'throws' needed this cold 🥶 weekend. The outside space will be great for warmer summer stays.

The rain...beyond the control of the host obviously - but . Cold feet - Possibly need a floor runner or mat on downstairs floor. (Stone tiles) I don't like to wear shoes in another person's home but hadn't brought any slippers. Next time...

"A cozy urban cottage in a fun and lively part of Brighton"

10.0

This cottage was absolutely perfect for us! The photos on the listing are great, but I think the place is even more homey in real life! It's a duplex so it has that cottage feel. The bedrooms are fresh, clean, and stylishly decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need- the bathroom is bright and modern with a nice deep tub (with a shower too, if you prefer). For me, the biggest treat was the location. We were with our college-age kid, so were looking for an area that was close to "the action". The cottage is walking access to EVERYTHING- great pubs, shopping, thrifting, the cinema, the park- you name it! If you need absolute silence, you may not appreciate the lively bar down the street. It's not next door, but you can hear people in the evening. If you've ever lived in a city, it's no big deal (people aren't yelling or being loud, but you can hear folks having fun. Personally, I like that because it feels lively, but I know some don't care for it...) For us, by the end of the weekend, we were fantasizing about buying a little vacation apartment in Brighton ! Jessica was a GREAT hostess- we were a bit concerned at first about the security deposit requested after our confirmation, but she answered all of our questions and it was returned after our stay without any delays. She gave great advice on directions and activities going on during our stay and was just super cheerful and accommodating the entire time. We will definitely try to stay here again the next time we're in Brighton.

"Great location"

Great location, clean and comfortable apartment.

Nothing really, the “patio” was just a small nook with a table and chairs

"Perfect location in the heart of the coolest part of Brighton"

10.0

Perfect location in the heart of the coolest part of Brighton....3 doors down from the famous Banksy graffiti-ed gable wall of the Prince Albert pub. 3 mins walk to the train station and a 5 min walk to the Lanes. Many gorgeous cafes and bars and restaurants nearby. Surprisingly not too noisy even though you're in the thick of it. We absolutely loved the cottage. The host was kind and communication with her was swift and very helpful. The cottage was a lovely space with all the amenities you'd need for a relaxing home from home. We will definitely be back. The cottage really made our stay in Brighton perfect. Thank you so much Jessica.

Great location

Smelt of mould, uncomfortable sofa. Front bedroom was loud at night due to large a/c unit on building opposite

"Great, centrally located accommodation"

10.0

The location is great, particularly if traveling by train. It's very close to the station. There's a quirky music based pub a couple of doors away but we didn't hear any real noise from there (pop in if you get a chance) the cottage is very close to the Lanes and several good coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. The walk to the seafront and Kemptown is about 15-20 minutes. The cottage is very tidy and well equipped. The compact kitchen/living room is well laid out. The kitchen is well equipped. Being able to open the door to the small courtyard outside was welcome. The bedrooms are a decent size and both have a comfy bed, wardrobe (with about 12 hangers in each) and a chest of drawers so enough space for clothes for a week easily. There was always plenty of hot water for showers, even for 5 people all getting ready within an hour to go out. The info from Jessica was really useful and she messaged a couple of times with info for check out and to check everything was ok.

Only 2 very minor points. In warmer months it would be really welcome to have a fan in each bedroom. We were blessed with warm weather, particularly on the first two nights. Downstairs isn't too bad though and, particularly with the back door open, was a comfortable temperature. It was a bit of a challenge to make sure water from the shower didn't leak on to the bathroom floor. It may be worth swapping the screen for a curtain that goes a bit further around the bath. As I say, both minor points but not enough to affect my score. We still had a really nice stay.
