ancienne maison qui a beaucoup de charme avec un grand jardin. Très bien équipée . Nous avons été accueillis par la propriétaire et la femme de ménage est venue au courant du séjour . La maison est très proche de funchal (15 minutes) . Qq commerces au villages.

Les coqs sont matinaux et la literie ancienne .

Some rural charms right there. A large garden with hens and ducks, also a patio and adequate heating for the rainy days. Good kitchen, helpful staff. Clean and has everything you'd need. The place has a distinctive feel to it. Check it out.

Although we were warned about it, i'd put some yellow-black tape on the bathroom doorway for the odd chance when you forget. Forgetting to duck there will make you see the stars :D

Beautiful big garden, the setting, nice hosts

The house is in such a poor condition, not rentable in my view. There is such a strong smell of old, rotten house, we could barely stand it. We slept with the window open, but it still didn't help. Warm water didn't work either. We left after the first night. This house needs serious fixing.

The property was very good and with calm environment near by its a small village near mountain the house inside was good they just need to put few things new like door lock and little bit more clean and with good smell all the rest was good experience

The villa is really big and set in a beautiful garden. We especially liked the friendly ducks, chickens and rabbits! The location, in the mountain village of Santo do Serra, is perfect for exploring the north coast, Pico do Arieiro area and also close enough to Funchal. The inside of the villa has traditional decor which feels like stepping back in time. Our host Teresa was always very punctual when replying to messages and gave lots of information. We would definitely stay again.

There is a musty smell but this comes with such a property that it’s made with a lot of wood and located high up in the hills.

Quiet area, lovely rabbits, chickens and ducks although the roosters were really loud in the morning.

It's older than it looks in pictures. It's humid and smells like a church. The kitchen utsensils are very old. The house is also full of clutter and personally a bit scary at night (you could hear the floor boards creeking).

We really enjoyed staying at Villa. We stayed in a group of 4 people. The place has a cozy and a unique atmosphere. One can feel a spirit of history of Madeira. Our host welcomed us with a delicious cake and a glass of genuine wine. We took our time to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful garden with rabbits hopping on the grass and singing birds. This was a truly an unforgettable experience.

Keep in mind that this is an old house with all its pros and cons, which might not appeal to everyone. The double rooms are a bit cramped. A new frying pan would be useful.
