Casa do Arco

The accommodation was comfortable and well located if you want to explore the western part of the island. The double bed was small for us, but there was a bed in the other room and we were comfortable. The view was beautiful. The inside garden with barbecue was super for having breakfast. The wifi was perfect.

Noise from the street when coming a car. No toiletries (shower gel and shampoo), only a little liquid soap (enough for one day).

We loved the view from the house, the inner courtyard, great parking, the pool table.

The humidity in the house; the loud religious gatherings late into the night, underneath, with music and chanting, while the kids tried to sleep.

Great location, great view from window and comfortable bed that gives you great sleep after day full of adventures :)

Got everything you need - spacious rooms, balcony, outside dining area, facilties, location, homey feel, host was very helpful, very clean = all perfect!

The house is perfectly located in a quiet area, although it situated by the road. Amazing seaview from the tarrace, where you can relax drinking Madeira wine, is unforgettable. The house is fully eguipped beginning with a washing machine, a toaster, a sandwicher and ending with a blender and a hair dryer. Beds are comfortable. The house is clean and all the furniture is in a good shape.Beautiful patio, partly under the roof, is great option for outside cooking and family activities when it rains. House is on a hill and you need a car but you are in the middle of everything so it is good location when you want to visit the whole island. You are located 20 minutes from the most beautiful lavadas, 10 minutes from one of a few sandy beaches on the island, which is in Calheta and 30 minutes to Funchal. WiFi works perfectly even when three people used it at the same time. It is always sunny there. Although we visited the island in the most rainy period : January/ February and it was rainning every day somewhere on the island, in Arco da Calheta we had sun every day. Parking place is always available. Great contact with the owner.
