Casa da Ovelha I Madeira

Dieses Haus ist großartig. Wir waren 16 Tage vor Ort und habe nichts vermisst. Ob die Kaffeetassen oder Gläser alle gleich aussehen oder "etwas gewürfelt" waren, hat uns nicht interessiert, jedenfalls waren genug da! Die Lage ist der Hammer. Zwischen unserer Terrasse und NewJersey (USA) lagen 5000 km Wasser, dank des unverbaubarem Ausblicks :-). Kontakt mit Julian über Email war super, er hat sehr schnell reagiert. Für 4 Personen ist das Haus groß genug, allerdings hat das Gelände am unteren Ende keinen Zaun, für kleinere Kinder daher nur bedingt geeignet. Trotz der Nähe zur Straße ist es wunderbar ruhig. Vogelgezwitscher und Froschgequake waren Geräusche, die wir gerne hörten. Ein absolutes Juwel auf der Insel. Wer hochwertigere Einrichtung braucht, der soll in Funchal suchen und dortige Preise bezahlen. Julien - Sie haben ein tolles Haus!!

Very spacious and well equipped house. Loved the outside areas and terraces on different levels. Liked the open plan, sociable space. We contacted Julien who went above and beyond to give advice and help which enhanced our stay.

It would have been nice if we could have walked to a bar or restaurant but we had to use a car. There was nothing to dislike about the house and grounds.

The view was amazing. The large bed was comfortable. The house was spacious with the bonus of a garden and bbq. Julien replied quickly each time.

Bathroom towels were tired and damp upon arrival. Kitchen plates, glasses, cutlery, utensils and coffee makers were dirty and needed washed. It states toilet rolls are supplied, but that was not the case- only 3 rolls supplied. And no cleaning products as stated- eg. bacterial spray for worktops. The door into the downstairs toilet doesn't open easily. There is no welcome pack with directions on how to use the microwave or coffee makers or where the tumble dryer is located. 4 sets of keys were left out with no idea of what they were for. The spiral staircase is tight and narrow. Most guests no doubt fly onto the island so I found it strange that there was no washing powder or things left by other guests.

Julien was a great and kind host, all info for arrival and departure were answered asap - thank you for the help. The accomodation is nice and quiet with a great view.

Just the garden furniture and possibility for sitting and barbecuing outside are unfortunately worn out and partially not usable. Beside of this we had a great time.

It was in a really quiet place, with a beautiful view on the ocean and the stars. Also big enough for 6 people and a well equipped kitchen.

It was very hot in Madeira, the house only has AC on the ground floor and the bedrooms are on the top floor. Also, due to the fact that it’s pretty close to the sea (amazing view) it has a lot of mosquitos at nighttime. The owner said they will install AC, get rid of the ands and mount window nets in the near future tho!

Beautiful and impressive view of the Atlantic Ocean - from every room and even shower! Very nice garden and numerous terraces with roof for rainy time in January and opened to enjoy sun. House is spacious enough for the family with 2 kids and very well equipped - kitchen, grill stuff, blankets, books, etc. Situated in rather remote place, quiet. Heating in every room available. We had a great time for this cuple of days.

Unfortunately house was a bit humid, even though electric heating was used - there is no ventilation, unless you open a window, what in winter night time is not recommended. There was some problem with electricity - using a toaster switched off everything else :). Parking is available but you need to have or get some experience in driving in Madeira. Also, in confirmation arrival was stated at 22-23.00 pm. After arrival at 22.19 we got charged 20EUR for late arrvival, though there was no such information given before.
