The Oaks - Ash Farm Cotswolds

The building/conversion. Dark skies. The visit by the dog in the morning and watching the lawn mower. Warm. Hosts responded quickly to issues, thank you. Recycling.

You do need a car. It is on a working farm and there are lorries coming in throughout the night and day. Hit my head on the TV shelf in the bedroom. Blinds not completely private in the bedroom. Difficult to cool down when weather humid. Concerned about the bin by the boiler.

Great location not too far from Stow and Bourton. Great place to base yourself for exploring the Cotswolds. Ample parking and comfortable lounge and bedrooms. Plenty of space in an open planned living area. Wifi great in the property and in a very quiet location despite being on a working farm.

Although fully equipped and functional, interior is a little dated. However minor point as we were there to sleep and rest and out most of the day. Some of the kitchen equipment was not fit for use such as frying pan and kettle had not been descaled for a considerable amount of time. We ended up boiling water on the electrical stove. Thought it was expensive for what is was but a great location regardless.

Visit from owners dogs, playing with our little dog. Friendliness of owners and pets.

No bread knife although sourdough offered. No iron. TV although big, not easy to understand workings. Everything else made up for these minor quibbles.

Very relaxing Quiet and in open countryside

Dog running around unsupervised chasing cars and people in cars speeding around above 5 mph speed limit

The location was great for where we needed to be, the host was very helpful, when our tv wasn't working .

The property was tired an dated, the furniture an decor could do with updating

Great location, just a short drive from Stow on the Wold. Good facilities and cosy cottage :)

The cottage was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definitely go back.

The surrounding & the atmosphere

Many flies, hard to book taxi, squeaky floor, not 2 bedroom as advertised the “2nd room” is an open attic, owner didn’t respond to some text messages

Flies were an issue, maybe due to the wooden framed building though to be fair.
