Walnut Cottage

Well equipped and in a central location with parking outside the property. The property had luxury furnishings, comfortable beds and very comfortable.

The stairs were a challenge, although in keeping with a cottage, however not suitable for children or elderly. This needs to be mentioned in the description.

Good location, felt nice and cosy

The lighting in the kitchen was poor and there are several lights around the property not working properly/bulbs have gone. There were also a few cobwebs (top room radiator, in the kitchen by the sink). There were also no logs in the log store.

It was absolutely perfect. It is beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable.

We loved everything about the property, it was a beautiful and very comfortable cottage, perfect for our family of 4. The location was great for wandering the lovely town and also for exploring the area. Emma was a perfect host - replying very quickly to any queries. It was fab to have parking outside, and the lovely welcome basket was a great touch. Emma also offered to send back an item we left, which was so appreciated. We would 100% recommend Walnut Cottage to anyone looking to explore the Cotswolds!

A few of the kitchen accessories are a little tired

Loved the location (behind the High St), very central with the Cotswolds. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Also great that I could bring my dog!

The cottage is in a great position just off the High Street. Pubs, cafes and shops within easy reach. Wonderful walk opposite the cottage towards Batsford. Beds were so comfortable, linen beautiful. Well equipped and beautiful kitchen, with outside table which we enjoyed to sit around daily. BBQ in outside building.

Stairs were a bit difficult being spiral. Hard to manage cases up and down. We were ok but anyone with mobility issues or young children, may find a challenge. Its a very old cottage so all part of the experience. A mirror would be useful in 1st floor bedroom and chest of drawers in both. Would not stop us returning - we loved our stay here.

The property is decorated with great taste - perfect combination between old and modern. It is the perfect size for a small family or 2 couples get-away. It feels very cosy and warm that you almost do not want to leave it. Lovely garden outside - perfect spot to hang out for morning coffee. There is also a barbeque available. The hosts left us lots of goodies including a bottle of prosecco which was very generous of them. Would highly recommend!
