Hector’s House is a beautiful cottage and far exceeded our expectations. It was well presented, gorgeously decorated and all furnishings, bedding, towels etc. are of high quality. It is very homely and well equipped for self catering. The beds were extremely comfortable. It has many extra touches such as an extensive array of quality toiletries, everything you need and more regarding kitchen equipment, a washing machine, ironing facilities and an added bonus was the gorgeous garden. As we have a dog the garden was important and it did not disappoint. Although the garden is compact it has several seating areas and solar lights which look really pretty at night. We were able to sit outside for breakfast and also for a drink at night. We will be recommending Hector’s House to family and friends and hope to return in the future.

This cottage has a nice character. Nicely furnished and well presented. Comfortable bed. Lots of light through the windows. Ample bedding, sheets and towels etc. Comfy outdoor seating area. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom etc. Main road traffic heard in the garden but not in the house. Good location for boat rides on the broads. Local farm shop Would recommend future self catering guests to take cooking oil, Kitchen towel, scourer and dishcloth.

Bathroom basin hot water was scorching and the tap was difficult to turn off completely resulting with the hot water constantly running. Also kitchen tap drips.. The coffee table in the lounge was dirty on the top and sides. Would recommend that the large dog bowl is stored separate from the guests crockery. Small metal table and chairs in the garden were covered in cobwebs and tall weeds were growing through the chairs. The recommended Bridge pub is a good 25 minutes walk away. Would suggest that the WiFi code is written in the guest book as the tiny frame that is on display was easily overlooked. Voices and TV were heard through the adjoining living room wall.

Location for getting around was very central. It had everything needed for a cosy comfortable stay and the beds are super comfy. Host communication was excellent.

Perhaps a BBQ would of been good. Nearest pub/restaurant was quite a walk away so we choose to drive. Although it backs onto a main road it’s very quite at night.

Our second visit and we loved the home from home feel, so comfy, wonderfully decorated, had all the things we needed for a fab stay. Fantastic toiletries in the bathroom. We just love it! Secure garden for our dog, good location for exploring Norfolk, wonderful coasts and villages. Deceptively spacious, is bigger inside than it looks from the front. We will be back, looking forward to visit number 3!

Nothing really to dislike.

Beautifully decorated, contained everything we could possibly need, and more besides, with so many lovely extra touches. So comfortable and a great rural location within easy reach of so many places to visit. The host was lovely too. It was like home-from-home. Definitely going back again next year! 💛💛
