Montserrat La Calsina

Location is unbeatable, views of the valley are superb. Views of the mountain from the pool are breath-taking. No car sounds. Birds chirping. Great treks starting from the doorstep.

While location is incredible, it really is a bit isolated, with the closest store more than 10 minutes drive. Not great when you find out there were no capsules for the coffee machine. The heating system works great, but it makes a noticeable intermittent extraction sound (a few minutes off, a few minutes on), which may be a nuance to some. It is particularly loud at the terrace. We encountered a few millipedes and quite a few wasps, but they were not an issue and...you are surrounded by nature!. Access to the pool is not direct from the apartment, you need to walk around the main house, which makes it rather inconvenient.

We really liked everything about this place. The house is spacious with a nice living room where you can nicely relax and have a meal altogether by the big table. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. On top of it you get great views from the windows. Highly recommended. I also appreciated good communication with the owner :)

We picked this property, a house actually, because of its proximity to the Monserrat Abbey, our main destination. It was within easy driving distance, albeit rather tight being in the mountain. The view from the property was excellent, and the mountain air very fresh and clean.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Amazing mountain getaway! The house was the perfect place to do some hiking, lounge by the pool, and try some local activities (e.g. horseback riding, cheese farm, Spanish restaurants, etc). The setting was even more beautiful than the photos and you could hike directly from the house!

It was a very nice place, close to Montserrat that we wanted to explore.

I liked the location, the view in the morning, and the surroundings.
