Moresby Hall Country House Hotel

The hotel was not 4 star and I am still to receive an update on my complaint !

Friendly staff Breakfast

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel kwam het meest naar boven. We hadden besloten om op het moment zelf een accomodatie te zoeken in de buurt waar we waren. We besloten om rechtstreeks bij de accomodatie te boeken maar toen bleek dat de prijs daar duurder was dan met booking (met Genius discount) - Zonder probleem mochten we ter plaatse nog via booking boeken en zodoende de prijs van booking.com hanteren. - We aten ook avondeten in het hotel en dit was zeer verzorgd en gezellig.

eigenlijk niets, misschien als enige dat de gebouwen rondom (achteraan) het Hotel een beetje gerenoveerd kunnen worden voor een mooier zicht vanuit de kamer

This is a truly beautiful hotel, with so much history. The owners cant do enough for you. We love it so much we are getting married there :) Its a hidden gem away from the madness of the busy lakes . The food is amazing you will never go hungry true Cumbrian portions !!

Hotel was beautiful and the building very old with a lot of character. It was spotlessly clean and the ensuite had a Jacuzzi bath, which was lovely. The staff are extremely friendly and the food fantastic. Overall I would say that it was very good value for money and we have booked again for the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Whitehaven itself has quite a few good bars, its dog friendly and there are plenty of walks to enjoy there and in the surrounding area

I have worked in the area for 25 years and never knew Moresby Hall was even there although I have driven past hundreds of times. Pleasant gardens, beautiful building, excellent food and the all of the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located for Whitehaven, Workington and Maryport and if you like something a little out of the ordinary, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I will be back.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful nothing was to much trouble. We up graded to a superior room as we had recently got engaged. The good was great, catered well for vegetarian.

Everything, staff, food the hotel buildings, grounds and the location. Excellent place to stay and you can bring your dog.

Nothing to dislike everything was positive.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our room and given the breakfast details. The four poster bed room was impressive with two large windows, high ceilings and two small lounge chairs. There was lots of hanging space in the large wooden wardrobe and the dressing table was also very handy. This large room was a pleasant space for our stay. A full English breakfast was served in the dining room. The staff accommodated our dietary needs. There was a variety of fruits on offer . Also cereal, juices and yogurt. This is a quiet place on the outskirts of Whitehaven a lovely place to stay for a few days while exploring this part of Cumbria.

Perhaps consider putting a hook on the back of the bathroom door for the towels.
