Cornhill Castle

The setting was amazing , nestled near a stream and pasture and the building was beautiful! Our room was so lovely and looked luxurious with a great bed and spacious bathroom. Great lighting for putting on makeup. Full-length mirror in rhe room. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was lovely, my lamb meal was so good. The staff were lovely and chatted to us and made us feel very welcome. We would have stayed longer if we had time!

We could have done with a couple more pillows as we were in a brass bed, with no bed head. The cups for the tea in the room did not look clean and there were no plain biscuits to have with a cup of tea, only chocolate, which my husband does not eat. There were no other glasses in the room to partake of the drinks available in the fridge.

Great place with a nice vibe. We only stayed one night and enjoyed the room service. The surrounding area is beautiful and the staff were very helpful.

Staff were all exceptionally polite and well trained. They knew their jobs and had a welcoming demeanour. The location is very pleasant.

Food is poor. Strawberry cheesecake dessert at a wedding dinner was abysmal. Dirt cheap. I booked a lodge for an overnight stay. There is little privacy to use the hot tub. Too much light pollution to look at the stars (need option to dim outside lights). The bin wasn't emptied from the last guest and worst of all the double bed was made from 2 single mattresses, (Dee lodge Cornhill) so I couldn't sleep comfortably beside my partner without sliding into the mattress joins in the middle.
